Mental Health

If you are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues such as:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety – General, Health, Social, Panic, Agoraphobia
  • Trauma
  • Phobias
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCSD)
  • Loss or adjustment  disorder
  • Stress / work related stress
  • Coping with long term health conditions

and you are 16 (you must have completed year 11 at school) or over, you can get help from IAPT – Sunderland Psychological Wellbeing Service.

You do not need a GP appointment or referral or even need to have informed us about this issue in the past.

Mental Health for Young People

If you need someone to understand, need advise or help a friend, Kooth is an online mental health services for children, young people and adults. accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use.

It offers the opportunity to talk to counsellors weekdays between 12 noon and 10pm and weekends between 6pm and 10pm.  You can also access articles and get support from the Kooth community.
